ePACS

What is ePACS?
ePACS (EzzeePossee Anti-Cheat System) is a global stats system that logs every kill, every death, every stat for every player who plays on an ePACS registered server. ePACS is set-up to work on any Valve gaming server so whatever the mod this system will work fine. Also under development at the moment is the anti-cheat side of ePACS system and Rich (founder & developer) plans to build in more anti-cheat features as time goes by & more start using ePACS.

Why use ePACS over other stat systems?
ePACS is global unlike most other server stats systems which only track players on that particular server. By using ePAC your server plus all the other servers within that game type (eg: CSS or HL2DM) that also have the ePACS system running will be part of a global ranking tables & will have stats produced for every player. Meaning a player playing on any one of these servers running ePACS will have the same global ranking across all ePACS servers a far greater stats system than normal server stats can provide.

How does ePACS rank players
The calculation system is a form of ELO. This means that your skill points do not necessarily increase the more you play, you gain more points by fragging players with higher skill. There are also map bonuses that also give you skill points, if you are the player with the highest frags at map end and there are enough players in the server (current at least 7) you gain a bonus.

Ok, does one use ePACS?
ePACS can be used two ways... In-Game or In mIRC.

In-Game
When playing in an ePACS server you should see console messages flagging up that ePACS is present & running. By simply typing in "epacs" into the game's global chat the server will request your ePACS rank & stats. You rank & stats will then be published by the game console to the server for all to see.

say "epacs"

You can also see other player's ranks by saying "epacs <followed by the rank>" eg: say "epacs 4" for 4th place ePACS ranked player.

say "epacs 4"

say "epacs 1"

In-mIRC
mIRC is where the full options & power of this stats system comes into it's own. First of all you need to join the #steamid channel on Quakenet (You will need to be Auth'd with Q bot).

#steamid

Then set your mode to +x to allow you to search & view stats & players in the database. This is done by typing /mode yournick +x

If you plan to use the system a lot don't forget to add that line to your perform list in mIRC options to speed things up when joining.

ePACS stats players in real time and if you sit in #steamid long enough you will see players moving up the ranks "Rank Gain"

Viewing & search player ranks
ePACS mIRC commands are very simple to use. For viewing a player's rank you can use two commands: !r or !rank followed by the game mod (eg: cs, ag, hl2dm etc) then followed by either the rank place (eg: 1=1st, 2=2nd 3=3rd etc) or the player's Steam ID (eg: x:xxxxxx)

!rank cs 4 (viewing 4th ranked place CS player)

!r cs 3 (viewing 3rd ranked CS player)

!rank hl2dm 1 (viewing 1st placed ranked HL2DM player)

Search player by name
ePACS with the help of EP-POWER allows you to search for a player by name, so in those cases of not knowing a players rank or steam ID this can be very helpful tool. By using the !player followed by the name will bring up all those in the database that match your search. You can then find out their steam ID(s) and last time they played to help you continue your search.

!player mod (search for players with 'mod' in their names)

Search player rank by STEAM_ID
ePACS allows you to seach via STEAM_ID to do this you drop the STEAM_ part and just type in the remaining numbers and in some ID's you drop the first '0' if the ID is double zero. (eg: STEAM_0:1:3418667 you would type 1:3418667)

!r cs 1:3418667 (search for player by STEAM_ID)

What are the commands for ePACS in mIRC?
ePACS allows the use of the following commands:

!r <game mode> <steam id> - search rank by STEAM_ID
!rank <game mode> <steam id> - search rank by STEAM_ID
!r <game mode> <rank>- search by rank by game mode
!r <game mode> <ranks> - search rank by game mode
!player <player name> - search by name in ePACS stats tracker database
!f <player name> - search by name in EP-POWER player database
!f <steam id> - search by STEAM_ID in EP-POWER player database
!clan <clan tag> - search a clan, provides info on that clan like irc room, leagues, etc (HLCCL only)

Where do I sign-up to get my server added to ePACS?
Right all you need to do is jump on mIRC & join the #steamid channel on Quakenet. Then find Rich & send him a provide message he will then talk you through the sign-up. You will need your server IP address & Rcon password ready. The sign-up will only take a few minutes and your server will be enabled right away. Please note do not post your rcon in the live channel & do not not give it out unless you are happy to do so. The ePACS team will not mess about with your server and all information provided will be kept secure. If you have any questions feel free to either chat to Rich or myself 'MOD|Sandz-' we can both be found on mIRC.
