CPL Fire Guide

Below are just a few tactics used by many teams & by -|MOD|- no doubt work is required to get the best result from these positions however the basic format seems to work. This map is seen as a CT (Counter Terrorist) favoured battle ground. if the CT team play their cards right. Past matches have shown that if the Terrorist team takes more than 5 rounds in a 15 round half it's pretty well game over unless they really do suck at holding as Counter terrorists. Most teams will take around 10-13 rounds as CT's and take around 3-6 rounds as T's.

CPL Fire

CT Positions
It's the classic 2-1-2 set-up, adopted by 80% of teams out there who play this map. two guys holding A Site, two holding the b site leaving 1 sharp shooter & spotter to hold the mid section.

CT Positions

Position 1
Job: To hold up the Tunnels to A Site. To help you & your team use the tunnels to your advantage. Place yourself in a position where you have first line of sight and where if faced by flash bangs or 5 man rushes you can counter flash and fall back and alert the team for backup. You will have a few fall back positions available to you so use them and request backup if needed. Who ever takes up this position needs to be quick and a keen assualt player who will remain on m4a1, tmp, p90 weapons.

Fall back position

Position 2
Job: To hold the 'A Long' straight. It's an easy role but you will be in that position where you will be required to switch up and help out player 1 from time to time. This position can be held in two ways, close up or the better option & safer option of fall back depending on weapons. To held it close up you need to be a smarter player, knowing when you push and when to fall back. From a distance the best option would be to AWP sniper rifle it and if the other team smoke it up take some random shots and fire flash bangs into the area ahead to slow down any attack. Call upon player 1 if needed who should be on assualt weapons. Also use the boxes for cover around the A site, these can really help out against better players who have sharper aim than your average gamer. You should get enough time & warning on an attack, as not only can you see them coming from a distance but also player 3 will spot their movement way before they come into range.

Long range (AWP)

Close-up (M4a1, tmp, p90) risky position requires a smart player

Position 3
Job: To spot and hold the mid area. This is a role for a sharp shooter, some one you can not only pick players off but depending on the other team can either take full control of the mid section or play safe and not give too much away, i.e. hold it and stay alive! Against the weaker teams you can use your sharp aim to take players out before they even make their attack, this canm really destory teams not to mention put the mid area out of bounds. At teh very least you should be able to spot the attacks and warn your team mates. Some teams will try & pressure the mid guy so you need to be ready for that and move yourself to a better position if overcome by smokes & flash bangs. Final word of advice, be careful of the windows, the CT player may have a slight advantage but the standing spots are classic known positions & fast Terrorist players will go for the pick-off shots. Dropping the mid guy does allow the other team a range of new attack options and you wouldn't want that to happen!

The classic known spot to stand and very risky against very good teams with elite aim.

Going for the pick-offs and still pretty safe from attack.

Playing it safe, and great line of sight to cover the poistion.

Position 4
Job: To lock down the 'Main' entrance to B Site. This is the number one location for most Terrorist attackes. You wont get much warning and when it comes it will be fast so you'll need to be on the ball. Most teams will smoke this area up so get your HE's in and flash bang it back to slow them down. Also burst fire the entrance to prevent them walking up behind the smoke. the key to this position is to get the first kill and then change up your position. There are around 4-6 different spots you can hold this point all have great cover so use them!!

Position 5
Job: To hold up the side passage to B site. This is one of teh hardest position as you will have no cover and you will be required to think and play on your own back. take advantage of the side passage by moving deeper down it to a point of safety and yet still gives you first sight & first kill advantage. Don't take on Terroist players where you are out numbered or can't win. Drop a flah bang in and fall back to the site. Once on the site you have the best position to hold the point. In fact on a 100% win scale you should clock in around 80% chance of winning. the position is that good you should have no problem in holding it as long as you don't allow the other team time! Give them a second or two more and you'll find flashs coming up from below and before you know it the site in lost.

Good position to start off at, fall back if needed, get that first kill in if you can.

When safe move up carefully and hold up here and see if you can suprise the other team but play it smart.

Fall back position, from here you can't lose! You'll see their feet way before they see you, don't give them time!!

Terrorist B Attack
4 man attack on B site with one wildcard player planted covering the rear & ready to push behind the CT rotate once the full attack has started. This is not a full on rush attack but a slow moving, well covered attack and only the final push will be a rush.

Holding positions, Player 4 with AWP free to move around & call upon support etc.

Player 1 (weapon: AK47/M4a1/Defender)
Job: Hold up position shown watching for any push from the side passage CT position. Once the attack starts you will contiue to cover this position and at teh same time move with the team when they push in.

player 2 (weapon: AK47/M4a1/P90/Defender/Mp5)
Job: Hold up as shown, watching Main entrance to B site. You will support player 4 and will be on his call & command.

Player 3 (weapon: AK47/M4a1/Defender + Bomb)
Job: You will hold up as shown watching forward as well as covering the teams rear from the mid by the use of sound. You will move with the main team as they push into site. You will need to plant the bomb!

Player 4 (weapon: AWP/AK47)
Job: You role is to get set-up in the Main, call upon player 2 & 3 when needed and move to pick-off the CT's holding up in site B. Don't move into danger, if you need an area cleared or flash call upon one of your support players. If or once you get a pick, fall back hold up and then call upon your team to move forward and storm the site.

Player 5 (weapon: AK47/Mp5/M4a1)
Job: Your job is simple, hold up deep in the mid so that no CT's pushing can get behind the team. Once the action has kicked off and the attack on B is under way it's your goal to push out behind the CT's as they rotate to take back the B site. A weapon like the Mp5 allows you to rush and fire on target, it's vital you atleast take one or two CT's on the rotate if you can. By the time you get into mid through the broke fence the CT's will be at CT spawn so head towards that direction do not go into A site get to B and cover the bomb.
