9X19mm Sidearm
Price: $400
Country Of Origin: Austria

Caliber: 9mm Parabellum
Clip Capacity: 20 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: N/A
Weight (Loaded): 0.9KG
Projectile Weight: 8g
Muzzle Velocity: 1132 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 475 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: High |
bind <key> "use weapon_glock"
bind <key> "buy weapon_glock"
|
Not a big fan of the 9X19mm (Glock) about the only good thing about this weapon
is it's cheap & it has 20 rounds unlike other hand guns that come with 13
round or so. The firing speed is just above average for pistols although the
strength is poor but the aim is good just you need to fire some 20 rounds
before the target is dead even a well placed head shot will not kill with this
weapon unless you use the nice feature 'burst fire' mode. The glock burst fire
mode makes up for it's poor damage values by firing some 5-8 rounds spot on
target and a headshot from this would kill in one shot. I would recommend you
bin this weapon right away unless you are very good or you like the glock. Top
players will use the glock I myself don't rate this weapon but will use it 70%
of the time in official league matches with it's burst fire & only going
for head shots anyway it does what I need plus costs me nothing & has a
faster reload time.

228 Compact
Price: $600
Country Of Origin: Switzer.../Germany

Caliber: .357 SIG
Clip Capacity: 13 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: N/A
Weight (Loaded): 1.03KG
Projectile Weight: 8.1g
Muzzle Velocity: 1400 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 600 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: High |
bind <key> "use weapon_p228"
bind <key> "buy weapon_p228"
|
The 228 Compact (p228) is a weapon that doesn't see much action in
Counter-Strike and from the other sidearms it's not high on the list to be
used. It's firing rate in pretty good but the damage from this weapon is low
and therefore not one to be used much. Give it ago and see what you think, i
would say this weapon sounds better than it performs.

Night Hawk
.50c
Price: $650
Country Of Origin: Israel

Caliber: .50 Action Express
Clip Capacity: 7 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: N/A
Weight (Loaded): 1.8KG
Projectile Weight: 19.4g
Muzzle Velocity: 1380 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 1650 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: Mid |
bind <key> "use weapon_deagle"
bind <key> "buy weapon_deagle"
|
Night Hawk better known in Counter-Strike as the 'Deagle' short for 'Desert
Eagle' is the weapon of choice for many players during round 1 (pistol round).
The Night Hawk has excellent aim & power, one shot to the head would get
the kill. The Night Hawk also psses through objects like doors, thin walls,
boxes etc and can really mess up players in a close combat. Only downer to the
Night Hawk is that it only holds 7 rounds and reloading is slow. Tip always go
for the upper body & head when shooting for long range duct and aim again
for the head. You will need to dive in & out of danger with this weapon
more it's not like playing with the glock you really are going for long range
aim & slower shots as the glock is more of a run & shot weapon.

ES Five-Seven
Price: $750
Country Of Origin: Belgium

Caliber: 5.7 X 28MM
Clip Capacity: 20 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: N/A
Weight (Loaded): 0.618KG
Projectile Weight: 2g
Muzzle Velocity: 2345 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 465 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: High |
bind <key> "use weapon_fiveseven"
bind <key> "buy weapon_fiveseven"
|
Again the Five-Seven is a weak under performing sidearm, ok it has 20 round but
it's low power means you end up using all 20 just to kill one person. It's
again a case of looks good sounds good but when playing you'd be better of
dropping this weapon and running.

5.40 Dual
Elites
Price: $800
Country Of Origin: Italy

Caliber: 9MM Parabellum
Clip Capacity: 15 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: N/A
Weight (Loaded): 1.15KG
Projectile Weight: 8g
Muzzle Velocity: 1280 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 606 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: High |
bind <key> "use weapon_elite"
bind <key> "buy weapon_elite"
|
The 5.40 Dual Elites or 'Elites' for short are a great combo for the first
round pistols and even come in handy as a backup side arm when in close combat.
This Terrorist only weapon has no real bad areas really, ok it's not great for
long range shooting but you are getting 2 guns instead of 1 so that makes up
for the aim and as for close range when you really need your sidearm to perform
well the elites with their dual shooting action mean you fire quicker and pump
more lead into the other player in return. That can't be all bad although when
facing the deagle most players would chose the deagle any day for it's super
power & nice long range aim. With this in mind the elites do tend to just
sit their and not get chosen.

Leone 12 Gauge
Super
Price: $1700
Country Of Origin: Italy

Caliber: 12 Gauge
Clip Capacity: 8 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: N/A
Weight (Loaded): 3.5KG
Projectile Weight: 3.8g
Muzzle Velocity: 1250 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 2429 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: High |

bind <key> "use weapon_m3"
bind <key> "buy weapon_m3"
|
The 12 Gauge shotgun (known as the M3) is a great weapon for close range
killing, It dose have it's down sides, one being it's 8 round limit and it's
short range aiming although in later updates it appeares that the M3 can take
out targets at stupid ranges! It's also very slow at firing & reloading but
the results from a direct close up shot will show you why this weapon is so
deadly. When using this weapon your role in the team will change to that of a
rambo style player who rushes in first ahead of it's team to clear a path in.
Good tactic & style of play with the M3 is to jump into players & shoot
this way to take full advantage and don't end up like dog food. Most skilled
players will never walk or camp using the M3 they will almost everytime come
charging in jumping and diving around head shotting players from withing the
air driving the buck shot right down through the player's head to mid body.

Leone YG1265 Auto
Shotgun
Price: $3000
Country Of Origin: Italy

Caliber: 12 Gauge
Clip Capacity: 7 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: 400 rpm
Weight (Loaded): 4KG
Projectile Weight: 3.8g
Muzzle Velocity: 1250 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 2429 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Low
Long Range: High |

bind <key> "use weapon_xm1014"
bind <key> "buy weapon_xm1014"
|
The 12 Gauge auto is smashing for close range combat and with it's auto pump
action & reload you don't have that delay unlike that found in the standard
12 gauge (M3). Not so hot for long range targets but for storming passages and
high defended areas the 12 gauge auto will destroy any one in it's path. A good
buy if money is an issue & up against hardcore gamers on small maps. Unlike
the standard 12 Gauge M3 I kind of find you lose the power with the auto
although you can fire double the shots.

Schmidt Machine
Pistol
Price: $1250
Country Of Origin: Austria

Caliber: 9MM Parabellum
Clip Capacity: 30 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: 857 rpm
Weight (Loaded): 1.3KG
Projectile Weight: 8g
Muzzle Velocity: 1280 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 606 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Low
Long Range: Elite |

bind <key> "use weapon_tmp"
bind <key> "buy weapon_tmp"
|
The Schmidt Machine Pistol better known in CS as the 'tmp' only available for
the CT is a poor weapon to use and to kill with such a weapon requires great
skill well in saying this I mea at long range in normal matches. If you get
close up or behind a player the tmp can be lame as the recoil on this weapon is
almost zero! This is mainly a short range weapon for map maps like CS_Office
using such a weapon on large maps would be foolish. Used best when sneaking up
behind some one and then letting rip into them. This is a spray & pray
weapon where aim doesn't matter so much as the recoil is very low. It's
important when using the tmp to not stand still but to always side step left
& right while you shoot.

Ingram Mac-10
Price: $1400
Country Of Origin: USA

Caliber: .45 ACP
Clip Capacity: 30 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: 857 rpm
Weight (Loaded): 3.82KG
Projectile Weight: 15.2g
Muzzle Velocity: 919 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 584 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: Elite |

bind <key> "use weapon_mac10"
bind <key> "buy weapon_mac10"
|
Ingram Mac-10 only available to the Terrorist team is a weapon that requires
great skill once again, close up it's a spray & pray weapon and for long
range it's almost useless. Those players who can get head shots from this
weapon at great distances really do command great skill. Most of the time this
weapon will only be used by newbies to the game or those elite players who just
enjoy messing around or owning others with any weapon just to make a point.
This weapon should only really be used if you have no money or if you are on
small close combat maps like CS_Office.

KM UMP45
Price: $1700
Country Of Origin: German

Caliber: .45 ACP
Clip Capacity: 25 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: 600 rpm
Weight (Loaded): 2.27KG
Projectile Weight: 15.2g
Muzzle Velocity: 1005 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 625 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: High
Long Range: High |

bind <key> "use weapon_ump45"
bind <key> "buy weapon_ump45"
|
The KM UMP45 not a great weapon & one left on the shelf in many of matches
yet in saying this the UMP45 does perform pretty well in some cases. Armor
piercing rounds allow it to inflict high damage onto any player even with full
body armor. It's rate of fire is low & so too is it's weapon recoil so even
the least skilled player can use this weapon and get pretty good results but in
saying this you still will require a high level of skill to just stay alive
with just a weapon when up against AK47's & M4a1 assault weapons.

bind <key> "use weapon_mp5navy"
bind <key> "buy weapon_mp5navy"
|
The classic Mp5 a weapon of choice for me when either short on cash or for
small rushing maps. A super weapon for controlled attacking rushes, the Mp5 you
don't need to think about aiming to much it's a weapon that gets you into the
attacking zone & with it's high rate of fire & it's large payload of 30
rounds it gives you loads of punch. When using the Mp5 to it's max you need to
think more about your playing style than aim. Getting in up close out of danger
is the key once in & up close to your target let the trigger do the rest.
Never remain still always side step left to right while you hold down the fire
& go for the upper body to head. Even the best of players or weapons for
that matter will be no match for a well planned Mp5 attack. This weapon get my
vote & you will see me use it loads in public & official matches.

ES C90
Price: $2350
Country Of Origin: Belgium

Caliber: .338 Lapua Magnum
Clip Capacity: 50 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: 900 rpm
Weight (Loaded): 3KG
Projectile Weight: 2g
Muzzle Velocity: 2345 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 465 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: High |

bind <key> "use weapon_p90"
bind <key> "buy weapon_p90"
|
The ES C90 (better known as the P90) is a pretty good short range sub machine
gun great for storming buildings where speed & fire rate counts more than
good aim. The C90 has 50 rounds locked into it so reloading so reduced although
you find the rounds are spent quicker than most wepons. This weapon doesn't
work so great on long range targets and if used against long range targets the
little bursts and pin point aiming is the best way to kill. The recoil on this
weapon is high at long range.

IDF Defender
Price: $2000
Country Of Origin: Israel

Caliber: .223
Clip Capacity: 35 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: 675 rpm
Weight (Loaded): 4.35KG
Projectile Weight: 4g
Muzzle Velocity: 2013 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 1712 J
Pro-HL skill required:

Long Range: Mid |

The Terrorist's Defender (a modified AK) is a super weapon add-on to CS. The
Defender reacts great in short range combat allowing you to destroy anything
within it's path of fire. The Defender has a large 35 rounds of ammo before
requiring a reload. It's damage hit level is high and can punch through walls
& doors, excellent for spray attacks and will chop up any CT in it's path.
The Defender also performs well at long range but you will need to over come
the high recoil.

CV-47
Price: $2500
Country Of Origin: RUSSIA

Caliber: 7.62 Nato
Clip Capacity: 30 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: 600 rpm
Weight (Loaded): 4.79KG
Projectile Weight: 7.9g
Muzzle Velocity: 2329 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 1992 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: High |

bind <key> "use weapon_ak47"
bind <key> "buy weapon_ak47"
|
The weapon of choice for most (T) side players the CV-47 better known as the
AK-47 is a great weapon for taking out long range targets if you have the aim!
The AK is mainly a rifle but with automatic firing, allowing the holder to
spray fire at close range when required but chances are you wont hit a thing.
At long range aiming & small controlled burst fire iis where the AK47
really kicks butt. The AK can out perform against the CT's M4a1 in long range
fights as long as you can control the burst fire & it also beats the M4a1
in cost but falls short then in close combat & short range spray. The AK is
a lot slower firing weapon & has massive recoil and close up against the
M4a1, the M4a1 will come out on top in most matches. AK47 also has greater high
damage per shot and can be used to shoot through thin walls & doors which
the m4a1 has trouble in doing. Overall this makes for a good weapon and a safe
buy for most game plan tactics.

Maverick M4A1
Carbine
Price: $3100
Country Of Origin: USA

Caliber: 5.56 Nato
Clip Capacity: 30 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: 685 rpm
Weight (Loaded): 3.22KG
Projectile Weight: 4g
Muzzle Velocity: 2900 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 1570 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Low
Long Range: High |

bind <key> "use weapon_m4a1"
bind <key> "buy weapon_m4a1"
|
The M4A1 assult rifle the most used & best weapon in Counter-Strike &
only the CT's get it! This weapon has it all, the aim, the skill, the speed.
The M4A1 is good for all maps played in counter-Strike and it's a great weapon
to learn with. It does come with 2 options, silencer on or off modes. With the
silencer on the damege is reduced but it's aim feels improved and for maps like
CS_Office the silencer works very well. Without the silencer you get a more
beasty weapon great for close combat and those mad up close and crazy gun
fights where the extra power is needed. For long range targets small little
bursts of fire aimed at the head is the best wy to play. For the close up
combat aim for the mid to upper body area and let rip, by holding fire down and
just firing some 15 rounds right into the other player. You'll find the recoil
on the M4a1 is not too bad when spraying at close range and when you find the
weapon jumping about stop & re-aim and begin again. I find if you go into a
duct position when doing this you will prevent taking took much fire yourself.
The M4A1 is a attacking weapon so use it as that, rush, rush & rush but
don't going runing in all stupid like play clever use your sound & storm
rooms, passages when you feel it's right to do so. If not camp nearby & be
ready to counter attack. The big problem with the M4A1 is reload, you will find
the rounds go fast and being the type of weapon it is you'll be in no safe
place to reload and some cases you will find reloading under fire will be the
norm.

Bullpup
Price: $3500
Country Of Origin: Austria

Caliber: 5.56 Nato
Clip Capacity: 30 Rounds
Rate Of Fire: 727 rpm
Weight (Loaded): 4.09KG
Projectile Weight: 4g
Muzzle Velocity: 2900 ft/sec
Muzzle Energy: 1570 J
Pro-HL skill required:
Short Range: Mid
Long Range: Mid |

bind <key> "use weapon_aug"
bind <key> "buy weapon_aug"
|
The Bullpup used only by the CT is a nice weapon if you are after a good around
killing machine. The Bullpup comes with a level 1 zoom meaning you can zoom in
to kill those long range targets and close up you can be happy to know it's
rate of fire is excellent. Whe aiming for long range targets the Bullpup acts
like a rifle, one shot at a time but you wouldn't want it any other way really.
The single shot action provides spot on aiming and one good head shot should be
enough for a quick kill. remember not to get carried away when attacking long
range targets. One shot at a time will be far better than holding fire &
hoping for a good hit. This weapon does have a high level of 'weapon-recoil' if
you hold fire and keep the crosshairs on the target you will see not all your
shots hit, this is due to the recoil of the weapon. short little bursts is all
you want. When close up without the zoom you can let rip, the recoil is still
there but no where near as bad. remember to aim for the upper body & head
for quick kills. The reload is poor on this baby, you will find reloading
becoming a pain and the round run out quick. Tp for this weapon is try and keep
some distances between you & the target and use it's rifle abilities to win
fights. When in close combat you'll find it's power is far greater than that of
the AK & M4a1 but it's speed & aim lets it down so watch out!

Krieg 552
Price: $3500
Country Of Origin: Switzerland

Caliber: 5.56 Nato
Clip Capacity: 30 Rounds

bind <key> "use weapon_sg552"
bind <key> "buy weapon_sg552"

The Krieg 552 better known in CS as the 'SG-552' or 'Sig' is a good all round
weapon and a good pick for those new to the game. The SG-552 comes complete
with automatic fire & level one zoom scope for helping take out those long
range targets. The SG-552 performs pretty well in all fields, close up it can
out perform weapons like the AK47 in fire rate allowing increased spray fire.
Long range the SG-552 does kick off a fair bit of fire recoil but once you
learn to control this it's single burst fire with scope can be very useful to
stop dead any long range targets. When put up against the CT's Bullpup (Aug) I
find although it lacks the power of the Bullpup it seems to out perform it in
speed of fire & just feels a damn lot better as a weapon.

M249

Country Of Origin: Belgium

Caliber: 5.56 Parabellum
Clip Capacity: 100 Rounds

Known also in Counter-Strike as the 'Para' the M249 machine gun is an idea
weapon to lay down a wall of fire when facing large number of opponents. With
it's rapid 600 rounds per minute the M249 can put to rest most counter attacks
if used in the right location. The M249 works best when positioned at a bottle
neck location in the map where the other team need to pass through a small
tight area to gain access to the bomb site or map goal. This weapon has the
power to pass through 2 or 3 bodies deep and as long as the range is short and
the area compacted you'll find beating the M249 hard. This weapon is not good
for 1 on 1 long range fighting and when it comes to this situlation you would
be far better off dropping the M249 & picking up another weapon for the
job. Key thing with the M249 is that to really win you wil need to play the
role of a defender, by holding a key route between the two sides. Rushing at
time may be required but when facing long range fire run!! Good for small map
not so great on large open maps. When using run forward and pump them rounds
and don't stop firing, you can move from side to side to reduce your damage
taken from the opponent(s).

Schmidt Scout
Price: $2750
Country Of Origin: Austria

Caliber: 7.62 Nato
Clip Capacity: 10 Rounds

bind <key> "use weapon_scout"

The scout seen as a weapon for elite sniper players, if you have good sniper
skills this is the weapon for you. To get a direct kill in one shot you require
a head shot unless the other player has no armor in which case a good upper
body shot will do the job. The scout does have some nice bonuses over the AWP
and that is it's light weight that allows you to move so much faster and in gun
fights this is very important. The tip with the scout is never stand still, the
scout is great for on the move shots. With all sniper weapons you must ensure
that you have some distance between you tand the other player. Too close you
risk death although the scout performs much better at close range than the AWP
you don't want to fight all your battles at close range. With the scout it's
best if you have a object near you to dive behind such as a wall or box. Locate
the target, it's height etc and then jump out, zoom and take the shot. If you
miss dive back and repeat the same again. As long as you go for headshots you
should have no problem in killing quick & fast. A truly skilled sniper
player will also rush with the scout. This is when you face high risk of close
combat and in a fight between an M4A1 or AK you are a sitting duck. Pull it off
and you will hear 'nice shot!' & 'well played'

Known in Counter-Strike as the 'AWP' the magnum sniper rifle is a deadly weapon
with it's high powered shots it will kill any one in 1 single shot. Most newbie
players will moan like f#@k about 'AWPers' (players who use the sniper) but
don't let that put you off using it. The AWP does require a high level of skill
when using it in a attacking role & when under pressure. The smart way of
using the AWP would be to offer support and cover for your team, camping at key
parts through out the map and picking off targets. Doing this all the time can
brand you as a camper so I find it nice to also rush with the AWP. It can be
stupid and leaves you very open to attack but it will greatly improve your
reaction times & aim so you will benifit from doing so. When using the AWP
it's a good idea to back it up with a decent side arm. Most AWP players will
buy the 'degeal' as their backup side arm. The key skills for using the AWP and
not getting owned in the first 3 minutes are position, aim, sound & quick
weapon switching. Use you sound to located targets that maybe sneaking around
the back. Position yourself out of danger don't go running into the open unless
you know it's clear. Switch weapons when moving and between loading/zooming
out. Finally the aim, never take a shot when moving you wont hit a thing that
way. You must remain still when taking a shot and it's better to take some
damage and getting the shot off right than if you keep moving to reduce damage
and no hit anything. A good tip with taking a shot is to jump out and as you
are flying through the air line up your crosshair, zoom in, when you land go
into complete duct mode and then take shot. All happens within seconds but
you'll get use to it in time. One rule when going head to head with another AWP
player. If he sees you never and I mean never return to the same spot or pop
your head slowly around the same corner. You would be better off jumping out
and taking the shot as chances are the other player is marking the corner ready
to pop you one.

Krieg 550

Price: $4200
Country Of Origin: Switzerland

Caliber: 5.56 Nato

The Krieg 550 Commando used only by the CT known better in Counter-Strike as
the 'auto-sniper' or 'n00bs cannon' this weapon is seen by many as a newbie's
weapon. It can be lame at time as it's strength, firing rate & easy aim
makes it do good and even newbies to the game can get kills without any real
effort required. The 550 Commando is one of those defencive weapons that help
backup team members. Position near the back the 550 Commando can be used to
blitz a door way or route in to an eare. With it's fast firing rate it can deal
with 3 or 4 opponents at once and there will be no running from this weapon
when trapped in it's crosshairs. The 550 comes with 2 level zoom, it's rounds
can pass through thin walls, doors, boxes etc. You will ony require 1 good head
shot or 3 or 4 round to the body to get a kill. With it's 30 round mags
reloading isn't a problem and most games will be over before reloading is
required. It's a great weapon and is pretty good for rushing/attcking too. Only
problem is it's too lame for most players to use and if you think you are a
good player don't use this gun or he respet for you will fade away to nothing.
Although in later updatesthe g550 has more recoil making the weapon less lame I
would say, in fact it's quite hard now to kill without the recoil on the weapon
driving you crazy. Tips with this gun, well hold a key route and just fire
repeatedly at it... Knowing the luck of it this gun will kill 1 or 2 players
passing through or hiding around that area of the map. Best lame tip is to use
it on the map de_aztec, just camp the brigde or double doors and keep shooting.
You're bullits will pass right through and strip away any one hiding behind the
boxes or the doors at those locations.

The D3/AU-1 used only by the T's known better in Counter-Strike as the
'auto-sniper' or 'n00bs cannon' same as that of the 550 Commando. It one again
provides auto sniper fire that can penetrate through objects like doors, timber
boxes, thin walls etc. 3 well placed shots will lay waste to almost any player.
The D3/AU-1 only has 20 rounds to that of the 550 that the CT's have and again
costs more to buy. It's does have greater power & far better aim than the
550 but both weapons are pretty much the same in every other way and both are
seen as n00b's weapons.
